Description
An ornate brass Elephant bell, crafted from brass, exhibiting a heavy, aged patina. The spherical body is adorned with intricate floral and foliate designs in faded red and orange enamelling or inlay against a darkened ground. One end terminates in a cage-like structure of curved metal slats, which contains a ball that creates the bell sound, while the opposing end features a finial decorated with similar motifs, from which a braided natural fibre cord with frayed tassels is attached.
