An Orientalist watercolour or sepia wash drawing on paper, depicting ‘Abyssinian Slaves Resting at Korti, Nubia’, after the renowned British artist David Roberts (1796-1864). The artwork portrays a group of figures, predominantly women, in a North African or Middle Eastern setting gathered beneath a palm tree, with faint architectural elements visible in the background. A faint, illegible inscription or signature is present in the lower left corner. It is presented under glass within a multi-line window mat and housed in a gilded wooden frame.
