An Osborne Ivorex relief plaque depicting The Cenotaph. This rectangular plaque features a detailed representation of the war memorial, complete with draped flags and wreaths at its base. Cast in Ivorex, a material resembling plaster or resin, it exhibits an aged, yellowish patina with darker antiquing in the recessed areas, enhancing its depth. The front bears the inscription ‘The Cenotaph / in memory of / The Glorious Dead / 1914-1919’ at the bottom, mirroring ‘THE GLORIOUS DEAD’ visible on the monument within the relief. The reverse is marked ‘Regd No 699402’ and ‘MADE IN Gt BRITAIN’. A jute rope is attached at the top for hanging. 15.5cm
