Description
An Ivorex Osborne ‘Old Cornish Cottage’ wall plaque, rendered in bas-relief, depicting an idealized rustic thatched-roof cottage scene complete with a small dog, distant livestock, and surrounding foliage. This piece is characteristic of 20th-century pastoral English landscape art. Fashioned from a molded composite material, likely resin or a similar hard plaster, it features hand-painted multi-color details that achieve an antiqued finish. The front bottom border is inscribed with “Old Cornish Cottage.” The reverse clearly bears the markings “IVOREX, ” “OSBORNE – COPYRIGHT, ” and “MADE IN ENGLAND” alongside a metal hanging wire. 23.5x16cm
