An Osborne Ivorex relief plaque, titled ‘Temple Bar in Dr Johnson’s Time’. This rectangular relief plaque, likely cast from resin or a similar composite material, depicts a historical street scene with an elaborate architectural gateway as its focal point, flanked by buildings and bustling with numerous figures in period attire, a horse-drawn cart, and a dog. Rendered in a detailed, somewhat antiquated style with muted coloration, the plaque is inscribed along the bottom front edge with ‘Temple Bar in Dr Johnson’s Time’. The reverse features a ‘MADE IN SCOTLAND’ marking and an attached hanging cord. 26.5x8cm
