Description
A George V Special Constabulary Long Service Medal, a circular commemorative medal crafted from bronze or a similar copper alloy, suspended from a plain bronze bar with a pin attachment. The obverse features a relief bust of King George V wearing a crown, facing left, encircled by the Latin inscription “GEORGIVS V REX ET IND IMP” (George V, King and Emperor of India), dating the medal to his reign (1910-1936). The reverse displays the English text “FOR FAITHFUL SERVICE IN THE SPECIAL CONSTABULARY” within a laurel wreath design. The edge is engraved with the name “LEWIS S. PAY.”
