Description
This lot features two pieces of Wedgwood Jasperware crafted in unglazed pale blue stoneware with white sprigged bas-relief decoration. The items include a small circular ashtray or pin dish with four notches and a grapevine border, and a small circular lidded trinket box with a vertically fluted body and a laurel leaf wreath border. Both pieces are decorated with a central classical scene depicting Aurora and the Chariot of Dawn, showing a robed figure in a chariot drawn by two horses. The base of the dish is impressed with the marks WEDGWOOD and MADE IN ENGLAND, along with the characters 8 and 3. The base of the box is unmarked.
