Description
A circular shallow bowl manufactured by Mason’s in the Regency pattern. The piece is constructed from ironstone and features a central Chinoiserie-inspired motif depicting a stylised bird among flowering branches. The decoration is executed using a blue transfer-printed outline with hand-painted overglaze polychrome enamels in shades of blue, yellow, pink, and green. A floral spray border surrounds the central design, finished with a blue scrollwork rim. The base bears a blue printed factory mark including the Mason’s name, a crown, a banner reading Patent Ironstone China, the pattern name Regency, and the origin England. It also includes the registration number Rd No 821349, the code C 4475, and the phrase In Gt Britain. Additional hand-painted marks include the number 121 in black and a letter C in blue. 19.5cm Dia
