Description
A landscape painting titled Early Autumn, Dovedale by the British artist Rex N. Preston. The print, depicting a valley scene within the Peak District. The composition features a central river winding through hills, with scattered sheep grazing on the grassy slopes. Several trees are shown in various stages of autumnal colour against a hazy, atmospheric sky. The painting is signed REX N. PRESTON in the lower right corner. The verso of the frame is fitted with a printed label bearing the title and artist name, alongside a gold gallery label for the John Worthy Gallery, 14 St. Edward Street, Leek. The work is housed in a cream double mount and a decorative gilt frame with beaded moulding. 95×71.5cm
