Description
This mid-20th century art glass figurine is designed in the style of Murano glassmakers and executed using the sommerso technique. The piece depicts a stylised rooster with an emerald green core encased in clear glass, which transitions into an amber-yellow hue at the top. The tail section features a flared and split rim with scrolled ends. The head is embellished with a pulled red glass comb and beak. The figurine is set upon a thick, clear glass pedestal base of triangular form, which contains a concentric core of red and amber glass. The base is ground and polished to the underside. No signatures or maker labels were found.
