A Chinese Yixing Purple Clay Teapot. This unglazed, reddish-brown ceramic teapot features a squat, globular body, an integrated short spout, and rests on three small rounded feet. It is accompanied by a domed lid with a simple arched handle and a separate, removable stainless steel mesh infuser. The material’s matte finish and characteristic color are consistent with Yixing clay. An impressed shield-shaped mark containing stylized characters is visible on the underside of the base, suggesting a maker’s or factory mark. 7.5cm tall
