Description
A small-scale circular occasional table or stool, constructed from hardwood and finished with a dark reddish-brown mahogany-style stain. The solid wood top features a central marquetry inlay of a butterfly, detailed with eye patterns on the wings and fashioned from a lighter-coloured grained wood. The top is mounted to a square under-frame, which is supported by four turned legs ending in ball feet. The legs are reinforced with four turned stretchers that are joined at square block sections on each leg. Several circular wooden plugs are visible on the under-frame, used to conceal fixings. There are no visible maker’s marks or labels. 47.5cm tall, 38cm dia
