Lot 27:
Description
A pair of contemporary intaglio prints, likely soft-ground etchings or aquatints, depicting overlapping skeletonised maple leaves. One work is rendered as a white-on-black impression, while the other utilises multi-coloured inks in muted green and brown tones on a cream-coloured ground. Both prints exhibit clear, distinct plate marks. The left-hand print is inscribed A/P in pencil in the lower-left margin, indicating it is an artist’s proof, while the right-hand print is numbered from a small edition as 2/3. Both works bear a printed monogram in the lower-right corner consisting of a capital letter E with a central vertical stroke. The impressions appear sharp and well-defined. The prints are housed in wide, dark-stained wooden frames with double mats. 53.5x64cm
