Description
A pair of studio-style pottery vases, likely stoneware or heavy earthenware, dating from the mid-20th century. Each vase features a bulbous, globular body that tapers to a short, wide, waisted neck with a flat rim. The decoration consists of multiple horizontal bands in varying widths, executed in a neutral colour palette of cream, taupe-grey, and dark chocolate brown. The vessels are finished with a glaze that has a slight satin sheen. No maker marks, factory stamps, or signatures are visible on the undersides. The design is in the style of contemporary Scandinavian or European studio ceramics of the period, such as those produced by HK Danmark or Kähler Keramik. 18cm tall
