Description

A collection of various decorative ceramics, glassware, and household items. The ceramic components include a Royal Worcester teacup and saucer in the Evesham pattern, and a Spode Copeland blue and white transfer-printed teacup and saucer featuring Chinoiserie landscapes. A large oval meat platter is decorated with a brown transfer-printed landscape scene within a floral and scroll border. The ceramic selection further includes several teacups and saucers with various gilded and polychrome designs, such as a red-ground example with gilt scrollwork and a green-ground example with gilded feather motifs. Ceramic vessels comprise a large green-glazed pitcher, an octagonal blue and white floral-pattern jug, a blue spongeware pitcher with sunflower decoration, a white relief-moulded jug with gilded highlights, and a cream-glazed jug. A small blue and white transfer-printed lidded sugar pot and a small blue and white cup are also present. Glassware includes a cobalt blue glass vase featuring white enamelled floral sprays and gilded bands. Miscellaneous items consist of a circular lacquered tray with gilt scrollwork on a red ground, a circular mirror with a floral-moulded frame, and a small carved stone lidded pot. A rectangular cream-coloured mantle clock is marked Smiths Battery to the dial, featuring Roman numerals and scroll decoration. The Royal Worcester pieces bear the backstamp Royal Worcester Fine Porcelain Made in England 1961 Evesham. The blue and white cup and saucer are marked Spode Copeland.
